ST. MARY'S ACADEMY  was founded by a team of teachers at Ekangarsarai, Nalanda, Bihar in 1996, to render quality eduction to the children in the medium of English. Well realizing the long need of a full-fledged English medium school to cater to the ever-rising demand for standard education, the founders have embarked upon this bold venture. Devotion to high ideals and ardent desire for social sevice have been the moving spirit behind the launching of St. Mary's Academy. In 2005, the school was shifted to its new, sapcious building wiith a play ground. In the 2008 the management and control of the institution was taken over by St. Mary's Eductional & Social Wlfare Trust , Bihar.
